After the user has installed the Journeyhoper App on any Android device, be it a tablet or mobile phone, a list of permissions appears. The permissions, data access, and use that Journeyhoper requires are listed below; make sure to check the list.

Location:Journeyhoper asks for location permission as it enables us to provide our users with personalized experience and location specific deals. When you give us permission of your location, our app auto-detects your location to fill in the nearest airport or city based on your location. We also use this to show you the nearest hotels in case you need a last-minute reservation. We make our users/customers' options personalized based on your location. If you are travelling internationally, it helps us determine your time zone so that we can provide you with the information accurately. That's why it is important to give location permission so our application can work efficiently.

Phone:The app needs this access, so you can call your hotel, customer care service, airlines, or travel agent for any inquiry or problem directly via our app.

Contacts:When you allow us access to your contacts, we can provide you with different social features, such as sharing your location and information about your hotel, flight, or holiday with your friends and family. We also show you the places where your friends have stayed and recommend them to you. You can also use it to refer our app to your friends. All this information is synced from your mobile and stored on our servers.

Device History:Journeyhoper needs device permission so we can optimize your travel experience with us. We tend to get information about the device's operating system, OS version, mobile network, language, and model device identifier, etc.

SMS: If you allow us permission to access your SMS, it helps us read and auto-fill your SMS content, especially 'OTP' (one-time password), while validating your mobile number or during transactions. Users don't need to move out of our app to read the SMS and then re-enter our app again; this is done for a seamless experience. SMS can also be used to read the PNR statuses.

Media Files: Our app uses this permission to allow the map data to be saved on the user's external phone storage. By saving map data, you don't need to download the same map data every time you enter our app, as it will provide you with seamless hotel selection based on Map.

WiFi Network: If the user allows us permission to detect their WiFi connection, we improve your experience with us by providing better flight, hotel, and package information with better images and better details on the map, too.

Camera: This permission enables our users to use their camera from within our application to upload a profile picture, click a photo, or upload photos for review of the hotel or flight and other services you used with our app. You can also scan QR Codes for easy payments or log in to our website directly through the app QR code.

Audio/Video Permission: This permission allows our customers to upload videos or submit video reviews of the hotel or homestays. The audio permission ensures that the video you took within our application has clear audio in the background so you can easily upload a video review on our application.

Bluetooth: Bluetooth permission enables us to provide you with the services/products of third parties that are available with certain features on our website.

Calendar: This helps us put your travel plans, such as hotel booking check-in date, departure date, and other information, on your calendar so you are in the loop and don't miss these dates.
